Jake Guentzel would get called for cross-checking 32 seconds into the third. Blake Wheeler would get called for hooking at 2:40. Both teams would have 9 shots in the 3rd. The game would go into Overtime. Phil Kessel would register the only shot on goal in overtime when he put the puck behind Hellebuyck to give the Penguins the 2-1 win. The Penguins would go 0 for 4 on the powerplay and kill off both penalties. Conor Sheary and Phil Kessel would each have a goal. Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel would each have an assist. Matt Murray would make 30 saves on 31 shots. The Penguins travel to Minnesota where they take on the Wild (3-3-2) on Saturday.
